UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION


1. APPLICATION FORM

Online: Please click here to apply for undergraduate programs, and all required official transcripts and financial support documentation to Myers University, Office of International Admissions, 3921 Chester Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, U.S.A.

By Mail: An undergraduate application form must be complete, signed and dated by the applicant. Download the undergraduate application form at http://www.myers.edu/admissions/admissform/admissform.pdf. Submit the completed form together with the required official transcripts and financial support documentation to Myers University, Office of International Admissions, 3921 Chester Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44114, U.S.A.

2. APPLICATION FEE

• The application fee is required and non-refundable.
• Undergraduate application fee – U.S. $25.00
• Graduate application fee – U.S. $50.00
• Applicants may pay by check or money order in U.S. currency only, and drawn on a U.S. bank made payable to Myers University. Payment by credit card (visa or master card) can be made to Myers University Business Office by phone at (216) 361-2754.

3. ENGLISH LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY SCORES

Non-native English speakers must submit official scores from either TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or IELTS (International English Language Testing System).

In certain cases, students may be conditionally admitted if they do not meet the required English proficiency requirement but do meet all other admission standards. Such conditionally admitted students must satisfactorily complete the English Intensive Program designated by the University prior to beginning any college level program sequence. an English Placement Test will be given to all new students upon arriving at Myers University. The Admissions Office determines the level of English proficiency required for enrollment.

Some students may complete the English Intensive Program in 4 weeks depending on the level of English proficiency of each student. The University will determine, for each individual, if the 4-week English Intensive Program or the Semester long English Intensive Program is appropriate upon completion of the English Placement Test.

4. ACADEMIC RECORDS

Official academic records and/or test scores from all secondary schools (and any universities attended) must be signed and sealed by officers of the issuing institution. All original foreign language documents (records, subject studied reports, grades received, etc) must be accompanied by an English language translation. If sending original documents is not possible, copies should be attested or notarized.

5. HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS

High School graduates must provide notarized copies of their transcripts and diplomas in both original language and in English translation.

6. FINANCIAL AFFIDAVIT

The international student must demonstrate proof of financial support equivalent to one academic year (2 semesters) before a letter of acceptance is issued by Myers University. The following documents will be accepted by Myers University to meet this requirement:

• BANK STATEMENT
An original bank statement printed on the bank’s stationery. It must display an account balance equal to or greater than the estimated student cost for one academic year (see financial requirements below), the bank’s name and address, statement date, and the name and title of the officer releasing the information. This document must be written in English.

• PARENTAL STATEMENT
An original letter signed by the student’s parents stating their financial responsibility and intention to supply financial support while their son/daughter studies at Myers University. The amount of support that they plan to provide should be stated clearly. Such document should be in English and authenticated by a Notary Public.

• FINANCIAL STATEMENT
The financial requirements for an international undergraduate student, is estimated as follows:

1. Undergraduate programs: The minimum financial requirement is $20,800.
2. Graduate programs: The minimum financial requirement is $27,250.


LOCAL SPONSOR

If a local friend or relative is providing room & board for the student while attending school at Myers University, a written statement from the local sponsor must be provided.



 



 

 

 

 

 

Admission to Myers University does not assure access to all of the University's academic programs. Some academic programs have entrance requirements different from the University's admission requirements. Potential students should consult with the admissions staff or the academic program director concerning special entrance requirements.
