PROCEDURES FOR APPLYING F-1 or J-1 VISA

VISA APPLICATION APPOINTMENT

The admitted student will receive a Myers University SEVIS I-20 document. Upon receipt of this document, the student must contact the nearest local U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate for F-1 visa application instructions and procedures. Consult your local telephone directory or the United States Government website at www.usembassy.state.gov for additional information on U.S. Embassy or U.S. Consulate locations.

Items needed for a F-1 visa application appointment include the following:

• SEVIS I-20 document issued by Myers University
• Valid passport
• Original affidavit of financial support document
• Myers University admission acceptance letter
• Personal Photograph (details available from any U.S.
  Consulate)
• Visa application form
• Proof of payment of the SEVIS fee
• Any other document required by the local U.S. Embassy
  or Consulate



 

 

 

 

 

Admission to Myers University does not assure access to all of the University's academic programs. Some academic programs have entrance requirements different from the University's admission requirements. Potential students should consult with the admissions staff or the academic program director concerning special entrance requirements.
