CAP
Tutoring Lab Code of Conduct |
- Students
will schedule an appointment in the Tutoring Lab to meet with tutors. Tutoring
appointments will not be made by phone.
- Students
are allowed to schedule a maximum of one hour per tutoring session.
- Students
who are twenty minutes late for their scheduled session become "walk-ins"
and are not guaranteed to meet with a tutor.
- Students
are expected to bring their own supplies (books, pencils, paper, calculators,
etc.) with them to their tutoring session.
- Tutors
will not do students' work for them. Students will not drop off
homework assigned
to them by their instructor. - Tutoring
sessions are to be used for tutoring. If students have academic or personal problems
that they wish to discuss with someone, they should see one of the CAP counselors.
Students who are not participants in the CAP program should report to Student
Life.
- No
eating, drinking, loud talking or horseplay will be tolerated in the
Tutoring
Lab. - The
use of noisy electronic devices is prohibited. Cellular phones and pagers are
to be turned off upon entering the Lab.
- The
Tutoring Lab is not responsible for lost or stolen personal property.
- Only currently
enrolled students may receive tutoring for courses that they are taking at any
David N. Myers campus. This means that if you are taking transient courses, you
are not eligible to receive tutoring for courses taken at another institution.
- Students
will respect the Tutoring Lab and its property. Vandalizing and the misuse of
computers or any other property will result in immediate dismissal.
- Students
must sign in and out to use computers and have their own disk for word processing.
- Tutoring
Lab computers are to be used for David N. Myers coursework only.
- Students
using the computers for any other purpose will be asked to leave the Lab.
- The Lab
is not responsible for documents lost on its computers.
- No
video games are to be played on the Tutoring Lab?s computers.
- Students
will not download programs or software into the computers, nor will they change
any hardware settings (i.e. screensaver, wallpaper, printer settings).
Please
respect the Tutoring Lab and its patrons. Failure to do so may result in loss
of Lab privileges. |
