Enrollment and Financial Aid Eligibility Undergraduate students must enroll at least half-time (six credit hours per semester) in order to be eligible for any form of financial aid. Certain types of aid (Ohio Instructional Grant, Ohio Choice Grant, Myers Institutional Scholarships, etc.) require that a student maintain a full-time course load. A full-time course load for undergraduate students consists of 12 or more credit hours per semester. Any combination of 8-and 16-week courses can be used, but actual enrollment status will be based on the total hours completed (withdrawals do not count toward the total) in the current 16-week semester. Below are some examples for clarification: 2 16-week courses+1 8-week course (1st session)+1 8-week course (2nd session)=
Full-Time Because Graduate courses are only offered on an 8-week basis, enrollment status is based on enrollment for each 8-week term, rather than each 16-week semester. For graduate students a half-time course load consists of 1 course per 8-week term, while 2 courses per 8-week term would equal a full-time graduate course load. |
