Graduate Students

Graduate students must go through the same process as undergraduate students in order to be awarded financial aid. To summarize:

1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
2. Complete the Institutional Application for Financial Aid
3. Provide any additional requested documents or information
4. Complete, sign and return the financial aid award letter

Please note that Graduate students are generally only eligible for financial aid in the form of Federal Student Loans. Students may also obtain private loans through outside lenders.

FEDERAL GRADUATE PLUS LOANS

Graduate students can now borrow under the PLUS loan program. Students can borrow up to their cost of attendance (including an allowance for books) less other financial aid. The interest rate on these loans will vary but it typically around 8.5% for the 2006-2007 academic year.
