Teaching at Myers University

Interested in Teaching Marketing at Myers University?

We welcome new talent and enthusiastic instructors.  To be considered as an instructor, you will need a minimum of a MBA in business, (a Ph.D or DBA for teaching in our MBA program) with preferably a concentration in marketing.  Additionally, you should have marketing experience so you can merge academic knowledge with real world applications.  We recruit only top-notch adjunct faculty, those who have subject mastery of their discipline, and also have a passion for teaching and helping others.  Typically, part-time faculty members teach in the evening, weekend or on-line programs.  We have six academic, suburban centers and a downtown location.  To schedule an interview, you should contact the Office of Academic Affairs 216-432-8943 to inquire about the name and contact information of the Business Division Chair.  The Chair, or his or her delegate, will contact you to arrange an interview---after you have submitted a resume or curricula vitae, transcripts (official transcripts are needed for faculty approval) and an application with references.

Upon notification, we request that you access our catalog on-line http://www.myers.edu to determine what courses you are most interested (and qualified) in teaching.   Once your file is complete, and you have been approved to teach with us, you will be able to participate fully in university life.  Teaching at Myers University is rewarding and fun; we also provide training on Blackboard, the Internet Platform for higher education.

Advisory Marketing Committees

As a member of our adjunct marketing faculty, you are automatically a member of the advisory committee.  The committee meets several times a year to discuss curricula changes, plan marketing events and to challenge each other to learn and grow.   The Advisory Committee is also comprised of marketing executives and business professionals

The Survey of Regional Business Innovation and Growth

The primary focus of innovative activities is at the regional level, at the interface between companies, workers, universities and government.  The Council of Competitiveness.

Purpose

This survey is intended to measure what you, as a business owner, need for business growth and expansion. Your feedback will help us to build a bridge between business enterprises and academic institutions.  It will help to close the gap between what local colleges and universities do, and what you, as a business manager, need. It assesses the degree in which your firm collaborates with local colleges and universities and pinpoints specific business needs that can be fulfilled through services.

Parameters and Incentive

It will take six minutes to complete, and completion earns you an invitation to the upcoming Growth & Innovation Conference, held in the prestigious University Club of Cleveland.
