| The Discussion Board is a communication tool used within each course Web site. When a forum is created by the instructor, students, instructors, and TA's can create and reply to topics (threads) and other posts. |

Finding the Discussion Board |

Open a course site. |
| |

Select the Communication button. |
| |
| |

Select Discussion Board. |

| Posting a new thread |
| |

Select a forum to post a thread. |
| |
2. |
Click the Add New Thread button located at the top of the forum. |

Enter the subject, message, and attachment. |

Click the Submit button. |
| |
Posting a reply to a thread or another post |
| |

Select a forum. |
| |
2. |
Click a post to reply to. |
| |
3. |
Within the message of the post, click the Reply button. |
| |
4. |
Enter the message and attachment. |
| |
5. |
Click the Submit button when finished. |
