Computer and Internet Skills Menu
Computer and Internet skills you need to take a Web-based course
You will want to be sure that you clear your Temporary Internet Files and Cookies at least twice a month while taking an online course. Again, to avoid unnecessary technical or viewing problems, we want you to use Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or 6.0 (Internet Explorer Support Center)
Step 1:
Right click the Internet Explorer icon on your desktop and select properties.
Step 2:
Click the "Delete Cookies" button to delete your cookies.
Step 3:
Click the "Delete Files" button and check the box "Delete all offline content." Deleting all of the offline content may take several minutes depending on how much content and how fast your computer is.
Step 4:
Click the "Clear History" button to clear your history.
This will clear cookies and your temporary internet files accumulated on your computer. This frees up hard drive space and prevents an old, outdated version of a Web page from appearing on your computer screen.
