Using your Internet Explorer 6 Tool Bars

Computer and Internet skills you need to take a Web-based course

 

1.
 Standard buttons should be on. These buttons are the "Back," "Forward," "Refresh," etc. buttons.
2.
And of course you would want the "Address Bar" turned on because you need it to type in the address of the webpage.
3.
You would want "Links" turned on in order to get to your bookmarked pages faster.
4.
When you are using your browser, it is smart to turn "Lock tool bars" on so that you don't end up draging the toolbars or hiding them on accident. On means that there is a check mark next to it.
5.
The "Status Bar" is the bar at the bottom of each page (if turned on) that tells you when your browser is connected and what it's downloading.
